A: The Holt Public Schools Operating Millage Renewal Proposal is on the Nov. 3 ballot and, if approved by our community, will help prepare Holt Public students with the skills they need to compete for jobs while learning in a safe and healthy environment. 

This renewal supports teachers, school safety officers, school nurses, counselors and other key staff members that help keep our schools and students safe and healthy.  

Q: Who pays for the Holt Public Schools Operating Millage Renewal?

A: The operating millage renewal only applies to owners of industrial, commercial, business, rental, agricultural properties and second homes – a homeowner’s property taxes will NOT be impacted.

A: Holt Public Schools has a proven track record of fiscal responsibility and transparency, and undergoes annual independent financial audits which are available on its website.
