Michigan Parent Dashboard

The Michigan Parent Dashboard for School Transparency provides families and community members with easy access to information about Michigan public schools. The dashboard includes data such as student enrollment, attendance, graduation and dropout rates, state assessment results, student-to-staff ratios, teacher information, and access to programs such as college-credit and career and technical education.

The dashboard was created by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) in partnership with the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI). It was developed in response to feedback from parents and other education stakeholders who wanted school information that was easier to understand and provided a more complete picture of school performance than test scores alone. The dashboard launched in 2018 and continues to be updated as new information becomes available.

Families can use their Education Resources for Parents page to review information for individual schools and districts, explore data for different student groups, and compare information with state and peer-school averages. The goal is to provide greater transparency and give families useful information to support conversations about student and school success.
