Holt Community Education offers preschool classes for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. The program operates for 2.5 hours per day. The 4-5 year old programs feature readiness activities designed to prepare children for kindergarten. The environment is warm, secure, and accepting. Youngsters are challenged to explore the world around them, to express themselves artistically and verbally, and to interact with others. Field trips, special guests, and a wide variety of activities make the preschool experience both fun and educational for the young child. Children entering the 4-5 year old preschool program must be 4 by December 1 of the school year. The 3 year old preschool program features a wide variety of fun and educational activities especially designed for the uniqueness of the 3 year old. Children will be encouraged to explore the world around them, discover their own special qualities, and to socialize with children their own age. Children entering the 3 year old preschool program must be 3 by December 1 of the school year and toilet trained. Child care is available before and after preschool for an additional cost. Enrollment is limited, so be sure to register early. | |||||
