Students residing in an intermediate school district that is contiguous with Ingham Intermediate School District may apply for Schools of Choice with the Holt Public Schools.
Schools of Choice Information
- Applications for the 2009-2010 school year were due June 15, 2009, and are no longer being accepted. To be placed on a mailing list for a 2010-2011 application, please call Jan Dodge at 694-5730, or e-mail your request to jdodge@hpsk12.net. If your call is directed to voicemail, please clearly and slowly state your request for an application, state and spell your name, and give your complete mailing address, along with a daytime telephone number, in case we need to contact you. Applications for 2010-2011 will be available in May of 2010.
- Students must reside in an intermediate school district that is contiguous with Ingham Intermediate School District. (Eaton Rapids and Potterville School Districts are in a contiguous intermediate school district.)
- Siblings of current schools of choice students will receive preference for openings. All other applicants will have equal opportunity for openings, regardless of the order in which the applications were received. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of positions available, the district will select students by random draw.
- Holt Public Schools may refuse to enroll a nonresident applicant if the applicant is, or has been within the preceding two years, suspended, or if the applicant has ever been expelled.
