Welcome to Holt Public Schools
Superintendent Dr. Scott
On behalf of the entire Holt Public Schools community, I welcome you to our web site and our District. Our entire staff has a strong commitment to student achievement, and I consider myself fortunate to be the superintendent of not only an outstanding group of professionals, but a community that strongly values public education. The reputation of Holt Public Schools is well-established, yet is not taken for granted. We continue to monitor ourselves, explore new avenues, challenge our students, and provide professional development for our staff…as our job is to maintain the excellence in education you have come to expect.
Funding for K-12 education continues to be a major concern for many Michigan public school districts and their citizens, and Holt Public Schools is continuously exploring ways to deal with this challenge. With support from our Board of Education, the administration is in the process of implementing a Plan for Educational and Economic Stability (“The Plan”).
By clicking on the link above, you can find more detailed information about components of the Plan. We will continue to publish information updates on the web sites (here and at www.reinventingholtschools.org) and in the Ram Quarterly as elements of “The Plan” are honed. As public officials, the Board of Education and the administration know that we must balance the fiduciary responsibility of being good stewards of public funds with maximizing educational pathways into the world for every student.
Please explore our web site, tour our schools, and become involved in the education of our students. Your input and participation are important to the success of every child. We thank you for your interest in Holt Public Schools! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to send me an e-mail at email@example.com.
